With more than 30 years’ experience in horticulture and landscape management, I have held both operational and managerial roles in public gardens internationally. Before joining NMBU as an Associate Professor in the School of Landscape Architecture in February 2022, I taught at the University of Sheffield, where the ‘Sheffield School’ approach to sustainable planting design originated. My teaching and research focus on the use of plants in urban landscapes, with a particular emphasis on developing resilient and sustainable planting designs.
