Dag Einar Sommervoll

Dag Einar Sommervoll er professor i samfunnsøkonomi ved Handelshøyskolen, Norges miljø- og biovitenskapelige universitet (NMBU). Hans forskning dekker blant annet urban- og boligsøkonomi, økonometri og anvendt mikroøkonomi, med kompetanse innen atferdsøkonomi, miljøøkonomi, helseøkonomi og søketeori.

Sommervoll har doktorgrad i matematikk fra Universitetet i Oslo (1997), med spesialisering i algebraisk geometri, og har tidligere hatt postdoktorstillinger ved Mittag-Leffler-instituttet i Stockholm og Universidade Federal de Pernambuco i Brasil.

I tillegg til vitenskapelige publikasjoner har Sommervoll skrevet og medvirket til flere lærebøker og populærvitenskapelige verk, blant annet Mattespettboka, Matematikk for økonomifag og Hjernespenst, noe som reflekterer et sterkt engasjement for undervisning og formidling.
