I am quantitative ecologist investigating what determines species distributions and population sizes at large scales, from tropical regions to boreal forests. I do so by combining large datasets and quantitative methods that allow to differentiate ecological processes from the observational processes.
I have a passion for wildlife conservation, and with my research, I try to find solutions to conservation problems in protected areas and anthropogenic landscapes by conducting policy-relevant research.

I am a researcher at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences as part of the Applied Quantitative Ecology Group working on three main projects:  RovQuant, PopFlow and Empty forests and extinction filters.
