Eirik Romstad

I am professor in economics with environmental and natural resource economics as primary research area. My work focuses on analyzing how economic incentives, policy design, and resource management shape environmental outcomes. Other areas include macroeconomics, risk and uncertainty, production economics, and agricultural policy.

My main teaching is in environmental and resource economics, and macroeconomics.

I was president of the European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) in the period 2005-8 and became fellow of the organization in 2025.
