My reserach interest is terrestrial hydrometeorology, with main focus on how vegetation changes impact the energy- and water balance in the boreal forest and boreal-alpine treeline. In my work I have focused on understanding how changes in treeline characteristics impact the radiative feedback and how forest caracteristics impact the boreal forest albedo. For this purose, I am combining satelitte reflectance data, in-situ radiation measurements, forest inventory data, and LiDAR data. Currently, I am eager to improve the spatial resolution of hydrological- and climate modelling by implementing fine-scaled vegetation information obtained from remote sensing.
