Seksjon for økologi og naturforvaltning

Forskning: Min forskning er sentrert rundt atferdsøkologi med hovedvekt på dagrovfugler og ugler. Jeg studerer samspillet mellom dyr og deres miljø, med fokus på næringsøkologi (byttedyrleveranser), hekking og hvordan menneskelig infrastruktur – som vindturbiner – påvirker atferden. Ved å ta i bruk teknologi som automatisk videoovervåking og romlig analyse (GPS), søker jeg å fremskaffe kunnskap som sikrer bedre beslutningsgrunnlag for vern av sårbare bestander i møte med miljøendringer. Undervisning: Jeg underviser innen økologi, zoologi, atferdsøkologi og naturforvaltning. Min undervisningsfilosofi bygger på prinsippet om konstruktiv samstemthet (constructive alignment), hvor jeg vektlegger studentaktiv læring og feltarbeid der det er gjennomførbart.
