Jeg er professor ved Institutt for by- og regionplanlegging, hvor jeg underviser i urban sosiologi. Tidligere har jeg vært Marie Curie-stipendiat ved Universitaet Wien, seniorforsker ved Politecnico di Milano og postdoktor ved University of Toronto.

Min forskning fokuserer på sosio-romlige ulikheter i europeiske byer og på byutvikling og styring for rettferdige omstillinger. Jeg er særlig opptatt av hvordan boligpolitikk, urban fortetting og nye former for byutvikling påvirker sosial ulikhet, segregering og gentrifisering, samt hvordan klima- og miljøtiltak kan bidra til eller motvirke slike ulikheter. Et sentralt tema i min forskning er sammenhengen mellom boligulikhet og den grønne omstillingen, inkludert grønn gentrifisering, sosialt rettferdig byutvikling og klimatilpasning.

For tiden er jeg involvert i EU Horizon-prosjektet ReHousIn, som undersøker boligsosiale ulikheter i konteksten av den grønne omstillingen. Jeg har også bidratt som ekspert for FN på spørsmål knyttet til bærekraftige og rimelige boliger og som konsulent for Europarådet innen sosial og romlig segregering og inkluderende byutvikling. Jeg sitter i styret for RC21 (Urban and Regional Development) i International Sociological Association.
