I am a pedologist. How soil morphology and properties change with landscape and vegetation is my main focus both in teaching and research. I teach basic soil science, soil morphology and soil classification - theory, field, and laboratory hand in hand is my mantra. My research spans from effects of acid precipitation to carbon sequestration; ash and biochar application; land use change, afforestation and grazing. Most of my research has been in forested and mountain areas, but agricultural land is also within my interest.
