I'm a trained landscape architect with BSc and MA from the University of Sheffield. I specialise in the design and management of green infrastructure. Currently, in my doctoral research, I work mostly with the selection of herbaceous species for rain gardens. My work is strongly informed by ecology. I use an understanding of life history strategies and plant traits to help predict species performance and plant community dynamics. My aims and outputs are always practice orientated. Previously in my career, I have worked with SLA Landscape Architects in their Oslo studio, and with ABG Green Roofs and Pictorial Meadows in the UK.
