Beskrivelse

This WP is didactical development work focused on how a multi-disciplinary group of people manage to co-create and avoid destructive conflicts. The project is a “work in progress” built upon previously conducted formative dialogue research and experiential learning in studio courses. The principles of design thinking (DT) will be explored in teaching as well as investigated through studying how such groups handle this in the field of practice. Guidelines for student project teamwork will be developed, tested, and evaluated.

Gjennomføring

The teaching plan in two to three different studio courses will be based on DT principles and evaluated. The course responsible teachers will develop the guide together and implement it in relation to the different learning goals in each course. We aim to collaborate with DOGA in this work package.

Begrunnelse

Forventede resultater:

2-3 courses tested and evaluated, revised guidelines for project teamwork, develop DT guide for different contexts/situation in spatial planning tasks. Particularly guidelines that prepare the students for participating in the student competition (WP4).

Tilsiktet effekt:

The short-term aim is to push students to consider their own learning experience in relation to other co-working fellows and, in a long-term perspective, reduce conflicts and achieve more transdisciplinary co-creation in the practice field. The impact on the planning practice should spur a discussion about how the concept of ‘user insight’ in DT can contribute to build a bridge between norms in planning and market surveys in property development.
