NMBU honour their Doctors conferred upon between autumn 2024 and summer 2025 in an open ceremony on 19 September 2025, at 12:00-14:00 Central European Time (CET).

• About the NMBU Doctoral Degree Ceremony

  The ceremony is open to the public. NMBU honor with this ceremony the Doctors conferred upon in the time period of autumn 2024 - summer 2025 and their supporters, for their efforts.  The ceremony lasts from 12:00 to 14:00 and will be held in the Festsalen at NMBU. Family, colleagues, and friends are most welcome to attend the ceremony.

  When presenting the Doctors, the Rector will greet each doctor present at the ceremony and present a pro forma diploma. Doctors who are not able to attend the ceremony can receive the diploma by mail when ordering to forskerutdanning@nmbu.no. Remember to write the address to which you would like it to be sent.

  After the ceremony there will be held a reception. The reception after the ceremony takes place in the Veterinary building, and the participants will be the Doctors and their invited guests. The reception starts at 14:30.

  Dress code

  We kindly ask guests to dress smartly for the occasion. Men typically wear a suit, and women may choose a dress, a skirt and blouse, or a trouser suit. It is also perfectly appropriate to wear national dress.

  The ceremony is concluded with a reception starting at 14:30. The reception is by invitation only and is a closed event for registered participants.
