International students are invited to participate in the Introduction Week for international students new to Norway from 5 August 2019 to 9 August 2019. Students admitted through the local admission intake are invited to the Registration Weekend from 10 to 11 August. The Buddy Week starts on 9 August 2019. Academic Welcome is on 12 August 2019.

Getting started

Introduction Week

During the Introduction Week, international students recieve assistance with residence permit, police registrations, course registrations, and much more. Each August, NMBU welcomes approximately 200 international degree-seeking students and exchange students. The introduction week's primary goal is to assist new international students with adjusting to living in Norway and get them ready to start their studies with NMBU.

Buddy Week

The buddy week is for all new students, both Norwegian and international students, and the primary goal is to become acquainted with students in the same academic area. Each student is assigned to a buddy group by faculty, as each faculty typically has separate buddy activities, in addition to those organized for all new students on campus. The buddy week actually lasts through the whole month of August.
