The PhD programme in Veterinary Science has a nominal lenghth of three (3) years of full-time study and consists of the following:

• an independent work of research conducted in collaboration with supervisors
• approved completion of the required coursework
• participation in active research communities, both nationally and internationally
• academic dissemination that is closely related to the PhD work
• the preparation of a PhD thesis based on the research work

The PhD is conferred on the basis of:

• approved completion of the required coursework (at least 30 credits)
• an approved scientific thesis
• an approved trial lecture on an assigned topic
• approved defence of the thesis at a public disputation
