NOVA can cover such costs for teachers from NOVA and non-NOVA member institutions through the NOVA grant to the PhD course.

Please contact the course responsible for the course in question for details on how this will be covered at the course you are teaching on.

  • NOVA can provide support for coverage of such costs through the NOVA grant to the NOVA Master's course.
  • Please note that in order to receive such support from NOVA, the course must be held off-campus or at another campus.
  • The requirements and rates are the same as for support from Nordplus.
  • Please contact the course resposible for the course in question for details on how this will be covered at the course you are teaching on.

How do I know whether the students applying for my NOVA course are NOVA students?

Students registered at one of the NOVA member institutions are NOVA students.

Exceptions:

Not all the students of Aarhus University (Science and Technology) belong to NOVA.

NB! University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Science ceased to be a NOVA member from 1 January 2017. NOVA will apply flexibility concerning scheduled courses for 2017 and students enrolled for these courses regarding the students' status as NOVA students.

Which types of participants should pay a course fee on NOVA PhD courses?

Which types of participants should pay a course fee on NOVA PhD courses?

All students or particpants on NOVA PhD courses who are not students registered at NOVA or BOVA member institutions must pay a course fee of minimum EUR200, according to the NOVA Board's decision.

50% of the course fee will be subtracted from the final grant payment from NOVA.

My grant application to NOVA is approved. Is it possible to receive an advance disbursement of the NOVA grant?

An advance disbursement of up to 60% of the maximum grant can be requested (but is not guaranteed). For courses, the list of enrolled students must be finalised before requesting an advance disbursement. Please send the list of enrolled students (for courses) and the bank and account information listed below to the NOVA Secretariat by email to apply for an advance disbursement.

How is the student evaluation of NOVA courses organised?

How is the student evaluation of NOVA courses organised?

The NOVA Secretariat has made an online student evaluation for all NOVA courses. Therefore, course leaders no longer have to register the students’ responses to the evaluation manually. A link to the evaluation will be sent to the students at ca. noon local time on the last day of the on-site course. Please reserve 10 minutes for the students to fill in the evaluation. It is mandatory for the students to fill it in. The course responsible will receive the results of the evaluation and should comment on them in the final report to NOVA. The NOVA Secretariat will ask the course responsible for the students' email addresses.

Is there a template for a NOVA diploma to the students?

Yes, there is a template for the NOVA diploma. The local NOVA coordinator at the institution organising the NOVA course is responsible for issuing the NOVA diploma to the students who have passed a NOVA course. He/she is also responsible for issuing a transcrip or a course certificate from the NOVA institution organising the course. Please contact the respective local NOVA coordinator for more information on this.

I have organised a NOVA course or another NOVA project. How should I report to NOVA?

  • The final report consist of filling in NOVA's online questionnaire and NOVA's financial report template, including a student matrix for NOVA courses.
  • If you have organised a course, you must comment on the student evaluation of your course in the questionnaire.
  • The financial report must be signed by you and the head accountant (or the accounting person who has managed the course account), whereas the student matrix must be signed by you and the local NOVA coordinator.

The deadline for submitting the final report to NOVA is stated in the administration acknowledgement which you received by email with the decision on your application.

The deadline is three months after the on-site course or after the end of the project for other projects.

Do I need to submit copies of receipts with the financial report to NOVA?

No, please only submit the financial report to NOVA. Your home institution must keep receipts from the organising of the course in case of financial audit.
