Development of a New Model for NOVA Collaboration from 2020

At a board meeting on 3 June 2019, the NOVA Board decided that a new version of NOVA should be implemented from 2020. The ambition is to continue collaboration on high-quality education on PhD level based on a common course catalogue.

Model Development and Timeframe
A work group will investigate a new model during autumn 2019. The Board is to assess a proposal for a model at a board meeting on 22 November 2019. Information on the new version of NOVA will be communicated as soon as possible in 2020.

New Coordinator from 2020
SLU will take over the coordination of the new NOVA as of 1 January 2020.

NOVA Courses
All previously approved NOVA courses approved for 2019 with enough NOVA/BOVA students can be run in 2019.

One NOVA PhD course that is approved to be held in 2020 will be run as planned.

In 2020, no courses in NOVA course series will be held due to the reorganisation of the NOVA collaboration from 2020.

Currently, it is not yet decided whether courses in NOVA course series will be held in 2021.

The third round of the NOVA Open Call 2019 is cancelled as the future model for the NOVA collaboration is not decided.
