NOVA cooperates closely with the BOVA University Network. The NOVA Board is encouraging that NOVA courses are held at the BOVA member institutions. In 2018, the NOVA PhD course Questionnaire Design and Management was arranged in collaboration between the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. NOVA students can attend BOVA courses without paying any course fee, and vice versa. NOVA has set up a web page with tips on how to organise a NOVA course in the Baltics and contact information.
The North European Regional Office of the European Forest Institute (EFINORD) and Centre for Environmental and Resource Economics (CERE) collaborated with NOVA on the PhD course State of the Art in International Forest Policy in 2017.
Nordic Forest Research (SNS) supports forestry related NOVA PhD courses.
The Nordic Association of Agricultural Scientists (NJF) has cooperation with NOVA networks and had organised joint NOVA PhD courses and NJF seminars.
The Nordic Joint Committee for Agricultural and Food Research (NKJ) and NOVA offered a PhD course in the reindeer industry in 2015.
