Who can apply
For all Erasmus agreements it is necessary to have attained 60 credits on your current NMBU program before commencing on an exchange study abroad.

Number of study places
Four students for up to one semester each.

Language of teaching
English and German. An intensive course in German is given in September/March. 

Language requiremnets

We strongly recommend exchange students to arrive at least with an A2 level according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). In order to be able to follow subject courses in German, a level of at least B1 CEFR is required. The University of Erfurt's Language Center offers German language courses for the duration of the lecture periods. You will have to attend an online assessment test before the semester starts.  

Semester timing
Autumn semester: October - February.
Spring semester: April – August.

Tuition Fees
Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
