Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is located in Göttingen, a student town in the middle of Germany. About 20% of the population are students, and this includes 2500 international students. The university was founded in 1737, it focuses strongly on research, and profiles itself with the words “tradition, innovation and independence”. The Grimm brothers, Wilhelm Weber and Otto von Bismarck, among other famous personalities, have all been students at Georg-August-Universität.

About the agreement
The agreement covers agriculture and forestry.

Who can apply
For all Erasmus agreements it is necessary to have attained 60 credits on your current NMBU program before commencing on an exchange study abroad.

Number of study places
Agriculture: Two places.
Forestry: One place (for 6 months only).

Language of teaching

Semester timing
Autumn semester: September - February.
Spring semester: April - July.

Tuition fees
Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.

Exchange students can apply for student rooms.
