Student Mobility

Students at the NMBU School of Veterinary Science are encouraged to spend a period of study abroad at one of the School's partner institutions.

The School has signed exchange agreements with schools, colleges and faculties in Europe, Africa, Australia, North America and many other parts of the world.

At present most student mobility, both to and from NMBU School of Veterinary Science, is organised through bilateral agreements, the Erasmus Programme or the NOVA/NORDPLUS Network.

ERASMUS students must complete ECTS Application form, Learning Agreement and Transcript of Records in cooperation with their own school's international office.

NOVA/NORDPLUS The Nordplus mobility grant amounts to approx. 200 EUR pr. month and a travel grant of approx. 250 EUR, depending on the destination. For intensive courses under 1 month you can apply for a a NOVA mobility grant of 300 EUR/NOK2400. More information concerning NOVA/NORDPLUS

Students from outside Europe should send a letter of motivation including information about what & when they would like to study at NVH, and an official transcript of records.

Many international exchange students choose to follow the host school's clinical rotations obtaining valuable, mandatory experience in the treatment of animals during their final years of study. Here is a brief outline of the clinical rotations on offer at NMBU School of Veterinary Science.

Please note, however, that all potential incoming exchange students should get in touch with the international office or international coordinator at their own school or faculty first, and start the process there.

If you have any questions or comments concerning internationalisation, student mobility or other related issues please contact the School's International Adviser,
