The Faculty of Biosciences provides 7 international master’s programs, relating to different aspects of responsible food production.


Agroecology

Do you want to work in international teams solving complex problems? Are you concerned about longterm sustainability of agriculture and food systems? Do you want to link knowledge with action to make a difference?

Animal science:

The world’s population is expected to increase, and this will challenge current global food production and agriculture systems. Are your interested in animal breeding and genetics, nutrition, feed technology, ethology and animal welfare?

Aquaculture

The aquaculture industry is an innovation driven industry with a lot of possibilities; both within business and research.

Genome Sciences

Are you interested in how genetic and epigenetic variations in genome affect the evolution of species? Are you curious of new genome technologies and how genome science can be used to improve sustainability in food production? 

Plant science

Are you interested in agriculture, horticulture and plant biology, environmental and climate effects on growth and quality of plants for food and feed?

Sustainable food systems

Do you want to solve the future challenges of providing enough food for the world's growing population? Do you want to understand how food is produced? A Master's degree in Sustainable Food Systems will give you the knowledge and experience you need.

Urban agriculture

How do we get greener and more sustainable cities? Which social, technological and economical aspects are connected with urban food production? How may urban farming become more than plants grown in the city?
