The seminar is hosted by the Department of urban and regional planning (BYREG), Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) in cooperation with the University of Iceland, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering. 

The seminar will introduce findings from the resactra-is RESEARCH PROJECT (click the link) on travel behavior and the built environment of the Reykjavik capital region. Findings from a related project  SuReCa (Quest for sustainable Reykjavik Capital Region: lifestyles, attitudes, transport habits, well-being and climate impact of young adults)  will also be introduced. Building on a presentation of the current status of planning for the capital region, the seminar will explore goals, challenges and opportunities for sustainable transport and land use planning.
