Stein T. Holden participated in the workshop with objective of identifying specific groups that could collaborate on a new research project. Workshop was organized by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, Italy, December 16th-17th.

Stein T. Holden gave presentation with the title "Agricultural Household Models and Heterogeneity: Exploring Input Subsidy Impacts in Malawi" at the CGIAR Independent Science and Partnership Council International Workshop "Measuring the Poverty Impacts of Agricultural Research" at Ruttan Hall, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, July 26th. 


Workshops 2013
Stein T. Holden and Sosina Bezu gave presentations on "Links between Tenure Security and Food Security: Evidence from Ethiopia" and "Joint Land certification and intra-household decision-making: Towards Empowerment of wives?", at the one day workshop organized by Lands Directorate in Ministry of Agriculture, Ethiopia, August 26th.

CLTS and UN-Habitat organized a full day workshop on "Youth, Gender and Land Rights: Global Initiatives and Local Actions" at Litteraturhuset in Oslo, June 13th.

Sosina Bezu held a presentation with the title "Land Access and Youth Livelihood Opportunities in Ethiopia", Stein Holden"Strengthened Land Rights and Impacts on Women in Ethiopia", Erling Berge "Lineage and Land Reforms in Malawi: Do Matrilinear and Patrilinear Landholding Systems Represent a Problem for Land Reforms in Malawi?". The panel discussion was held by Doug Ragan, Stein Holden, Kate Fairlie, Clarissa Augustinus "Panel Discussion: North-Sourth Perspectives on Youth Livelihood Opportunities""Ethiopian maids 'abused in Middle East".


Workshops 2012

CLTS arranged a workshop for Land Tenure Reform Book Project with the title "Land Tenure Reforms: Impacts on Poverty and Natural Resource Management. What Can We Learn? ", May 29-30th, Jevnaker, Norway.

CLTS, Norfund and the Norwegian Mapping Authority arranged a workshop on "Large-scale Land Acquisitions in the South: Commercialization for Poverty Reduction or Marginalization of the Poor?", November 28th, Literaturhuset, Oslo. Stein Holden held a presentation with the title "New International Land Governance Responses to Rising Demand for Land in Africa".

Stein T. Holden presented the paper "Links between Tenure Security and Food Security: Evidence from Ethiopia" at a workshop arranged by Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), November 2nd, Washington DC.
