Plant science
Our research covers the entire chain from basal studies into genes and gene expression, molecular evolution, genome sequencing and bioinformatics, to the practical use of biotechnological methods in the development of plants with new properties.

We aim to understand plant growth and development, and their response to environmental factors in climate, soil and farming methods. Our approach is experimental methods within genetics and plant physiology.

Animal science
Our areas of research are animal breeding, quantitative and molecular genetics, animal nutrition, animal behavior (ethology) and livestock environment, animal welfare, feed production and feed technology, product quality of food and greenhouse gases from agriculture.
