Checklist for making documents available in Brage

There are certain legal and ethical conditions that must be met in order for a document to be made openly available in Brage. The author and the institution are jointly responsible for the contents of the document.


To help you, we have prepared a brief checklist of questions. If your answer to one or more of the questions below is yes, the document can unfortunately not be made available in Brage. If you are in doubt, you should discuss the matter with your supervisor, student adviser or the persons responsible for Brage.

Questions concerning legal and ethical aspects of making documents available in Brage open research archive:

Does the thesis contain personal information about persons who are named or who for other reasons are easily identifiable to readers?  Yes  No
Does the thesis contain information that you have received from private individuals under a promise of secrecy?  Yes   No
Does the thesis contain confidential material from an administrative body?  Yes  No
Does the thesis contain copyrighted material to which others hold the rights, and which you have not obtained the copyright holder’s permission to use in your thesis?  Yes  No 

If you can answer all the questions above in the negative, you are free to make the document available in Brage.
