Course contents:

Contents

Theoretical teaching and practical / clinical exercises when it comes to artificial insemination in cattle. In addition, the theoretical background for insemination of sheep and pigs.

6 per group in Rudshøgda and 8 per group in Egersund, max 2 groups per week Students with anorther differensiation than Differentiation in Production animal medicine and food safety must document that he/she have received a commitment as inseminator. There will be requirements for the extent and duration.

Purpose

To provide the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to carry out the insemination.

Prerequisites:

The following students can apply the course:

1. Candidates with Differentiation in Production animal medicine and food safety.

2. Candidates with other differensiations that can document that they have a job offer with insemination practices.

It refers to specialt guidelines for requirements for applications / grants and application forms.

4 days practical course + theory)

100% presence. Practical test at the conclusion of the course.

Assessment: Pass / Fail

Presence and obligatory activities must be conducted in order to get it approved. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that optional part are implemented, and there will be no reimbursement of tuition for this unless the student can demonstrate a legitimate absence.

Course coordinator gives a diploma / certificate and / or acknowledges the censorship form the optional part is brought up. Only 100% completed optional program will be approved.
