Roads pavement construction consists of:
- Design method: pavement thickness design.
- Road strengthening and maintenance.
- Pavement materials functional properties
- Frost protection mechanism and measurement in road construction
The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the fascinating Norwegian Road/pavement design method. The student will get knowledge about asphalt materials and calculate stresses and strains in layers elastic materials within road pavement structure. In addition, they will learn about frost behavior and protection in road construction.
