Based on the teaching of Building Planning I, an in-depth theory and review of methods and tools for design are given. Key topics that can be lectured include: site analysis, concept development, architecture, material use and universal design. The course provides training in BIM (Structural Engineering Modeling). For spring 2020, the course has been made available by Statsbygg on the new part of the campus at NMBU. The course will therefore involve finding an idea, working on it, drawing out in detail, reviewing buildability, ordering materials and building a project in collaboration with Statsbygg and contractor.
The students will gain insight into the connection between creative concept development, design, detailing and production, as well as collaboration between various actors such as the builder, operations and contractor.
An overview to be distributed during the course.
