Training in technical drawing and CAD for construction planners is placed in the first part of the course.The teaching will include presentation techniques for floor plans, sections, elevations and technical perspective drawing.During the lectures, emphasis is placed on the relations between space planning, the challenges of the terrain, and the construction plan. Lectures on the topics of design, function and technology.

The students shall have a basic understanding of the methods for planning and designing buildings, including technical drawing and CAD (computer-aided design) for use in industrial drawing.

Lectures and supervised exercises. Possibility to join a supplementary study trip will be offered.

Compulsory assignments.

Agreement for partial submissions will be made at the start of the semester. Project assignment to be submitted on the last day of the semester.

For a course of 10 credits, ca. 300 hours of work in total is normally to be expected. That means that, in addition to structured teaching, ca. 17 hours of work must be expected per week.

Minimum requirements for entrance to higher education in Norway (generell studiekompetanse)

Structured teaching is 78 hours (6h/week), divided 50/50 between lectures and supervised exercises. The majority of the lectures will be given in the first part of the semester.

An external examiner takes part in the assessment a random selection of examinees.
