Course contents:
An introduction to literature regarding one-dimensional and two-dimensional protein NMR is presented. Students will get familiar with handling proteins in solutions including deuterated solvents. Pulssequences from the litterature will be discussed (some NMR experience is needed.)
Further, this course includes assignments of two-dimensional spectra and the use of isotope incorporation. At the end of this course, the calculation of a three-dimensional protein structure based upon NMR spectra is presented.
Learning outcome:
The handling of proteins in solution in order to do NMR. Assigning amino acids i a two-dimensional proton-proton TOCSY spectrum. Knowledge about calculating a 3D protein structure.
