Course contents:
Module D, basic ethology (behavioural biology; 5 credits): This course focuses on the most important terms, approaches and definitions within ethology as a whole, as well as the most important topics within this subjects. The course is mainly based on lectures with the following topics: behavioural genetics and evolustion, physiology and behaviour, behavioural mechanisms, behavioural development,  communication, animal emotions, social behaviour, motivation and decision making, and  learning, The students will engage in groupwork to write an abstract for each chapter in the book to assist in the preparation for the final written exam with score A to F.
