The students will go through the process with writing a scientific report, from description of scientific question, hypotheses, data analysis with use of simple statistics to the discussion of the results in light of relevant scientific literature. The module is teached in the spring parallel and include lectures, practice and guidance based group work. The course will end up with a group work including a poster, presenting the scientific work carried out by the student groups, and a report which describes the group work in more detail. The poster and report will be evaluated with a common grade (A-F) for all students in the group. The oral presentation will also add some weight to the grade. In addition, a small mandatory individual report is included during the course period. -
The course will give the students some basic understanding of the biological basis for a sustainable livestock production.
Lectures and practice.
The work in groups, including the presentation in plenum (accounts for 25 %) and the individual report from the project work (accounts for 75 %) will sum up to an individual grade (A-F) for each student.
