Course contents:
Horse breeding, Norwegian and international breeds. Genetic parameters and breedig plans.
Learning outcome:
The students should be able to understand the curriculum material of breeding in horses, both nationally and internationally.

Lectures, excursion and term paper.

Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of horse breeding.
Recommended prerequisites:
HFX130F
Mandatory activity:
2 days excursion and presence at presentation of term papers.
Assessment:
Continous examination. 80% written examination, 20% term paper, submitted and presented.
Nominal workload:
150 hours.
Entrance requirements:
Special requirement in science.
Reduction of credits:
Overlap with HFH150D and HFH222.
