Course contents:
Quantitative genetics with focus on inbreeding, genetic variation and breeding plans and economics in breeding. Topics may be changed.
Learning outcome:
The students should acquire a solid understanding of quantitative genetics.
Learning activities:
Colloquium-based teaching.
Teaching support:
The teachers will be available for questions from the study group and will also, if possible, go through selected topics as lectures.

Falconer & Mackay "Introduction to Quantitative Genetics" has mainly been used.

Prerequisites:
300 level in livestock breeding, or the equivalent.
Recommended prerequisites:
Mandatory activity:
Colloquia.
Assessment:
Written examination or assignments (approximately one week workload).

300 hours.
