Course contents:
Quantitative genetics with focus on inbreeding, genetic variation and breeding plans and economics in breeding. Topics may be changed.
Learning outcome:
The students should acquire a solid understanding of quantitative genetics.
Learning activities:
Colloquium-based teaching.
Teaching support:
The teachers will be available for questions from the study group and will also, if possible, go through selected topics as lectures.

Falconer's "Introduction to Quantitative Genetics" has mainly been used.

Prerequisites:
300 level in livestock breeding, or the equivalent.
Recommended prerequisites:
Mandatory activity:
Colloquia.
Assessment:
Written examination or assignments (one week\r´s workload).
Nominal workload:
300 hours.
