The course is mainly comprised of a geological excursion. The theoretical part includes selected literature and the students are to write a report that forms the basis of the assessment.
The course is intended to give the students broad and in-depth knowledge of field geology focused on their Master's degree. The course is based on participation in recent Norwegian or foreign geological excursions on Master's degree or research level.

Prerequisite: Student in the Master"s programme in Environment and Natural Resources, specialisation in Geology.
The examiner is used to approve the course design and to assess the reports.
