Course contents:
The course shows how the relationship between energy resources, technology, markets and policy influence energy production and distribution . The course will present themes such as supply and demand in energy markets, price formation, trading systems, policy instruments and risks, as well as national and international energy policies.
Learning outcome:
The student will have knowledge of the energy markets and energy policies that affectthe profitability of renewable energy,with an emphasis on power market
Students will be able to apply theory and knowledge about energy markets to explain price formation in the market and how central energy policy means affect the markets.
Students shall after the course be familiar with the functioning of power market and energy policy impacts on energy markets.

Lectures, assignments and independent study.

The reading list will be handed out at the first lecture.
