I am a Professor in Data Science at the Faculty of Science and Technology. I have a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), with a focus on multivariate analysis and protein structure modelling. The last 15 years the main focus of my research has been on use of Data Science within development of dynamic models of heart physiology (on both the cell- and whole-organ levels) and modelling of networks of brain cells. I am also involved in projects within spectroscopy, image analysis and development of new Data Science methods.
