Ibrahima Poudiougou is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of International Environment and Development Studies, Noragric (NMBU) and member of the ERC-funded Landresponse project. He holds a double Ph.D. (2023) in Anthropology and African Studies (Università di Torino and Universiteit Leiden). His research focuses on the articulations between land-use conflicts and armed violence in Mali and the central Sahel, with particular attention to the appropriation/dispossession of land resources, rural migration and armed violence among rural communities.
