I am a PhD candidate at Noragric since September 2021.

I have an interdisciplinary background, with education in energy engineering (M.Sc.Eng. - École Centrale de Nantes FR) and "Urban, Energy and Environmental Planning" (M.Sc. - Aalborg University DK). I have prior research experience in social metabolism at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, and professional experience in sustainable mobility planning.

In my thesis, I explore the labour work on which consumption in high-income countries currently relies, and options for work in post-growth societies. I build on the idea that a good life for all not only requires a fair distribution of environmental resources, but also a fair distribution of the limited amount of time that societies have available to provide for their needs. I am furthermore interested in modelling the potential of structural changes in the sectoral composition of economies to safeguard good living conditions for all at lower amounts of work, energy and resources.

I am involved in NMBU's 2021-2024 Sustainability Arena "Embedding planetary boundaries in science, policies and education", and an active member of the Postgrowth Economics Network. I am also a founding member of the Nordic Network for Postgrowth Research.

My broader research interests span over ecological macroeconomics, social metabolism, industrial ecology, system thinking, institutional economics, inequalities and well-being theories.
