I have been working as a head engineer at CIGENE since 2011. I finished my PhD in animal breeding/molecular genetics at the Agricultural University of Debrecen in 2003. I have extensive experience with different SNP-genotyping technologies as well as standard molecular biology techniques.
Currently one of my main responsibility is optimization and streamlining of large-scale functional genomic techniques (such as ATAC-seq and Chip-seq) for epigenetic study in the frame of the FAASG project (Functional Annotation of All Salmonid Genomes). I am also responsible for optimization and implementation of DNA extraction and library preparation for long read sequencing using Oxford Nanopore Technologies (MinION and PromethION).
