Associate Professor Jorg Sieweke joined NMBU in 2020 to conceive and conduct the new Master Programme in Landscape Architecture for Global Sustainability. Trained and licensed as Landscape Architect and Urban Designer, he directs an award-winning practice paradoXcity. Sieweke received his Dr.-Ing. from TU Berlin in 2015 interrogating 10 years design projects as a method of implicit knowledge production. He received fellowships in Hamburg (DAAD 2014) Rome (Villa Massimo 2015) and TU Darmstadt (Ingenium 2017)

Before joining NMBU, he served academic appointments at University of Virginia, RWTH Aachen, HCU Hamburg, TU Berlin and TU Dresden and lectured at art academies (ABK Stuttgart, UDK & khb, Berlin).

His ongoing research concerns sea-level-rise adaptations in a comparative study of Delta Cities, Venice, New Orleans, Baltimore and Hamburg. Since 2014 he contributes to the Anthropocene Curriculum as a project partner of Haus der Kulturen der Welt and Max Plank Institute, Berlin on the case of the Mississippi Delta.
