Bikal Ghimire is an internationally trained Plant Science Researcher, who made the best of his academic career by practicing his research at various reputed Universities in Europe viz. University of Goettingen, Germany; University of Padova, Italy and Wageningen University & Research, Netherlands through Erasmus Mundus Plant Health Program. After Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, he worked as a research aid fellow at Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK Gatersleben) for few months and he eventually won the most prestigious Marie-Sklodowska Curie ITN Fellowship under the PROTECTA EU Horizon2020 Project of European Training Network for his PhD at Norwegian University of Life Sciences NMBU.
Currently, he is working as MSCA ITN Horizon 2020 PhD fellow at NMBU, Norway. He aims to develop new and innovative ways to control oomycete diseases across the agriculture, environment, forestry and aquaculture sectors.
