My research interests are gut mucosal immunology and nutrition in cultivated fish species. The recent years, studies on nutritional and health effects from new and sustainable feed ingredients has been the focus of my research. In this research, development and use of cell models to reduce the use of live animals has been an important aim. I hold a PhD in Atlantic salmon intestine anatomy and immunology from the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science (2014) and has since worked as a post doc and research scientist at the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science/ Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
