I am an ecologist, broadly interested in wildlife population dynamics, and how these emerge from individual life-histories.
More specifically, I am a member of the Applied Quantitative Ecology Group (https://www.nmbu.no/en/research/groups/applied-quantitative-ecology-group-aqeg) at NMBU, where we develop and apply quantitative methods for the conservation and management of wildlife populations. A lot of my work in recent years focused on Capture-Recapture, Spatial Capture-Recapture, Occupancy modeling and other hierarchical models used to disentangle underlying ecological processes of interest from noisy, imperfect data.
I am also a member of MINA's R-club (https://github.com/Taakefyrsten/NMBU-R-club), where we provide technical support to students for their data analysis using the free, open-source programming language and software environment R.
