I am a head engineer in the CIGENE lab. My job involves daily operations of the genomic platforms in CIGENE consisting of large-scale SNP analysis, quality assurance and analysis of SNP data and genotyping using sequencing technology. I have experience with Beckman robots including basic programming. Currently I am working on an epigenetic pilot project, the FAASG project (Functional Annotation of All Salmonid Genomes), to establish core assays for mapping functional elements in salmonid genomes.
I am an educated chemical engineer with a master degree in molecular biology. I have extensive experience in molecular biology, as well as immune and cellular biology.
