Om studiestedet

Aberystwyth er et lite, hyggelig universitet på vestkysten av Wales som har ønsket internasjonale studenter velkommen i over 100 år.

Universitetet er kjent for sitt gode studentmiljø og NMBU-studenter har gitt svært gode tilbakemeldinger på utvekslingsopphold i Aberystwyth.

Byen har ca. 13 000 innbyggere og er en historisk markeds- og havneby i Ceredigion i Wales. Over 7000 studenter setter sterkt preg på byen.

  • Om avtalen

    Avtalen gjelder for biologi, earth sciences (B-MINA og B-ØN) og internasjonale relasjoner, men kan også passe for husdyrvitenskap, kjemi/bioteknologi og utviklingsstudier. NB! Denne avtalen gjelder kun for fag ved Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences og Department of Geography and Earth Sciences (kun bachelorfag). 

    Antall studieplasser: tre studenter per år ved Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences og to studenter i opptil ett år hver ved Department of Geography and Earth Sciences.

    1 semester.

  • Hvem kan søke

    For alle utvekslingsavtaler gjelder at man må ha fullført 60 studiepoeng før utenlandsoppholdet begynner. 

  • Undervisningsspråk

    Engelsk. Aberytswyth krever at man har minimum 4 i skriftlig og muntlig engelsk fra VGS.  Se språkkrav.

  • Semesterets varighet

    Høstsemester: Slutten av september - slutten av januar.
    Vårsemester: Slutten av januar - begynnelsen av juni.

  • Skoleavgift

    Utvekslingsstudenter må betale semesteravgift og semesterregistrere seg ved NMBU for det semesteret de er i utlandet, men slipper da å betale semesteravgift eller andre undervisningsavgifter ved avtaleuniversitetet. 

  • Studiepoengsystem

    10 studiepoeng i Aberystwyth tilsvarer 5 norske studiepoeng.
