  • NMBU har en utvekslingsavtale med HPU som er åpne for alle studieprogram som finner relevante emner, men er mest egnet for studenter innenfor økonomi og administrasjon, biologi, kjemi og internasjonale relasjoner.

    Lengde på opphold

  • HPU krever at søkere har C i snitt.

    Studenter må ha fullført 60 studiepoeng før utenlandsoppholdet begynner

  • Bachelorstudenter: USD$ 7,500/semester for 15 credits (2022/23)
    Masterstudenter: USD$ 11,500/semester for 12 credits (2022/23)

    OBS! Det anbefales på det sterkeste å ha kr 30 000 - 80 000/semester på sparekonto for å dekke ekstra utgifter.

  • Undervisningsspråk: engelsk

    Krav om språkkunnskaper (ett av følgende):

    • minimum karakter 4 på vitnemålet fra videregåendeskole som ikke er eldre enn 5 år
    • IELTS overall score: 6.0
    • TOEFL (IBT) overall score 70
    • I særtilfeller kan HPU godta bekreftelse om språkkunskaper fra en NMBU-fagperson

  • 15 credits ved HPU = 30 studiepoeng på bachelornivå ved NMBU.

    12 credits ved HPU = 30 studiepoeng på masternivå ved NMBU.

    Emner på 2000-4999 er på bachelornivå, og emner på 5000-7999 er på masternivå. Emner med kode 1000-1999 godkjennes vanligvis ikke.

  • Å søke visum er ditt ansvar, og du bør kontakte landets ambassade for å innhente oppdatert informasjon.

    Du trenger studentvisum for å studere i USA, og du må ha mottatt opptaksbrev fra det amerikanske lærestedet før du kan søke. Søknadsgebyr for visumet er for tiden USD $160. I tillegg må det betales SEVIS-gebyr som er for tiden USD $350 for F-1 søkere og USD $220 for J-1 søkere. 

    De amerikanske universitetene legger opp til at studenter benytter enten F1 eller J1 visum. Vær oppmerksom på at J1 medfører at man får en toårig "karantene" etter oppholdet før man kan søke om eventuell permanent arbeids- eller oppholdstillatelse i USA. Karantenen gjelder bare dersom studenten mottok støtte fra offentlige kilder, f.eks. Lånekassen.

    All som skal studere i USA må ha studentvisum.

    Forsikring i USA

    Amerikanske universiteter setter strenge krav til helseforsikring for alle utenlandske studenter. Alle studenter som utveksler til et amerikansk universitet må derfor regne med å kjøpe en amerikansk helseforsikring, som anbefalt av det enkelte universitet. Denne kommer i tillegg til andre forsikringer studentene måtte ha fra Norge, nemlig studentreiseforsikring. Forsikringene koster vanligvis omkring USD$ 500-1200, men kan også være dyrere.
