Ingrid Eikeland, Faculty of Science and Technology (REALTEK) will defend her PhD thesis "Promoting a learning shift in science centres through controversial issues: Educators and a researcher co-designing a controversy-based educational programme" on 11 December 2020.

Norwegian title of thesis:
"Å fremme eit læringsskifte i vitensenter gjennom å formidle kontroversar: Ein studie der formidlarar og ein forskar samarbeidar om å designe eit kontrovers-basert skuleprogram"

Prescribed subject of the trial lecture:
"Places of equity: The role of science centres for supporting diversity of visitor engagement, learning, and action competencies to meet a sustainable future"

This public defence will be digital since physical presence must be limited due to Covid-19. All are welcome to witness the digital defence, but please read and abide by the guidelines stated below. This is required for the defense to run without interruptions and noise.
A restricted number of people are allowed to be physically present during the trial lecture and defence.

You will first be placed in the waiting room. Please introduce yourself with your name and affiliation.
Put your microphone on mute and do not use your camera.
If anyone wishes to oppose Ex Auditorio, please ask your question in the chat before the 1st opponent finishes his or her opposition.
Testing of your own equipment is advised before attending.
