Applicants need to have achieved a minimum average grade of C.

All subject areas are covered by the agreement.
Language requirements
Upper secondary school (norsk: videregående skole): Average grade of 4, or
TOEFL: 79 (internet-based test), with a minimum of 19 within writing, or
IELTS: 6.0 (and no part under 5.5).

Recognition of study credits
12 credits (i.e. four courses of three credits each) is equivalent to 30 credits at NMBU.
Tuition fees
NMBU students get a 15% discount on the Study Abroad tuition fee.

Semester timing
Semester 1: February - June.
Semester 2: July - November.
Accommodation
JCU can offer student rooms. Rotary International House offers private kitchens.
It is possible to live outside campus (Areas close to campus: Douglas, Aitkenvale and Annandale). Townsville is a 20 min. drive from campus.
Visa
For studies of longer than three months in duration, a visa is required. Before applying for a visa, it is necessary to receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from the host university. A visa can be applied for electronically, with the advantage that a reply can be expected within 48 hours. As of January 2011, the cost for the application was approximately AUD 550.
