Romania is a large country in southeastern central Europe. About five percent of the total land area are protected nature areas. "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi is one of the oldest and most recognized institutions in the country. The university educates engineers at a high level, able to respond quickly and efficiently to the requirements of innovation, research and economic development. The study programs are designed to continually upgrade the engineers' professional skills based on global trends and needs. The university is located in the city of Iasi, known as the cultural capital of Romania.

About the agreement
The agreement covers the program Water and Environmental Technology (Vann- og miljøfag).

Who can apply
Master and PhD students.

In addition to attending courses in English, students can do a 3-5 months research related to their master thesis.

Number of study places
Two students for one semester each.

Language of teaching
English and Romanian.

Semester Timing
Beginning of October - beginning of February.

Middle of February - middle of June.

Tuition Fees
Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
